Portal Dashboard & Navigation

Overview of the B2B buyer dashboard, sidebar menu, and cart drawer.

The Buyer Dashboard

After logging in, your wholesale customers land on their Portal Dashboard — their home base for all B2B purchasing activities. The dashboard provides a quick overview of their account and easy access to all portal features.

Dashboard Overview

The dashboard displays:

  • Account information — The buyer's name, company, and email
  • Quick stats — A summary of their recent ordering activity
  • Quick links — One-click access to browse the catalog, place a quick order, or view order history

Sidebar Navigation Menu

The left sidebar provides navigation to all areas of the wholesale portal. Here's what each menu item does:

Top Bar

At the top of the portal, a header bar shows:

  • The customer's name (or company name)
  • A Logout button to securely end their session

Mobile Responsive Design

On mobile devices and smaller screens, the sidebar collapses into a hamburger menu (the three-line icon in the top corner). Tapping this icon slides open the full navigation menu. This ensures the portal works smoothly on phones and tablets for buyers who need to place orders on the go.

The Cart Drawer

On desktop screens, the cart drawer is always visible on the right side of the portal. It's your buyers' running tally of everything they've added to their current order.

What the Cart Drawer Shows

For each item in the cart, buyers see:

  • Product image — A thumbnail of the product
  • Product name and variant — Which specific item they've added (e.g., "T-Shirt – Red / Large")
  • Quantity controls — Plus and minus buttons to adjust the quantity, or type in a specific number
  • Unit price — The wholesale price per unit
  • Line total — The subtotal for that line item

Volume Tier Savings Previews

If volume pricing is active for any item in the cart, the cart drawer shows tier savings previews for each applicable item. This tells the buyer:

  • How much they're currently saving based on their quantity
  • How many more items they'd need to add to reach the next tier and save even more

This is a powerful upselling feature that encourages buyers to add more items to unlock better pricing.

Cart Actions

  • Clear All — A button to remove all items from the cart at once
  • Order Total — The running total of all items in the cart is displayed at the bottom

Empty Cart State

When the cart is empty, buyers see a friendly message encouraging them to start browsing the catalog or use the Quick Order form.

Portal Theming

The portal's visual appearance — including colors, fonts, logos, and layout styles — is controlled by the merchant through the Portal Styling settings in the BulklyCart admin. Any changes you make to the Portal Styling are immediately reflected in what your buyers see, ensuring the portal matches your brand identity.
