Why B2B Businesses Need Multiple Shipping Addresses

Unlike regular consumers who usually ship to one address, wholesale businesses often need to deliver products to multiple locations — different warehouses, retail store branches, distribution centers, or client offices. BulklyCart's Shipping Address Book lets your buyers save and manage as many delivery addresses as they need.

Viewing Your Address Book

Buyers can access their address book by clicking Shipping Addresses in the portal sidebar. The page displays all saved addresses in a list, with the default address highlighted or marked with a badge.

Adding a New Address

To add a new shipping address:

  1. Click Add New Address on the address book page.
  2. Fill in the address form with the following fields:
  • Label — A friendly name for this address (e.g., "Main Warehouse", "NYC Store", "West Coast DC")
  • First Name — Contact person's first name at this location
  • Last Name — Contact person's last name
  • Company — Business name at the delivery location
  • Phone — Contact phone number for delivery questions
  • Address Line 1 — Street address
  • Address Line 2 — Suite, unit, dock number, etc. (optional)
  • City
  • Country — Select from the dropdown
  • Province/State — This field adapts based on the selected country (see validation rules below)
  • Zip/Postal Code
  1. Click Save Address.

Setting a Default Shipping Address

Buyers can mark any saved address as their default shipping address. The default address is automatically pre-selected during checkout on the Quick Order page, saving the buyer time on every order.

To set a default address:

  1. Open your Shipping Addresses page.
  2. Find the address you want as your default.
  3. Click Set as Default (or check the default checkbox).
  4. The previous default is automatically unset.

  1. Click Edit on the address you want to update.
  2. Modify any fields as needed.
  3. Click Save to apply the changes.

Deleting an Address

  1. Click Delete on the address you want to remove.
  2. Confirm the deletion.

What happens when you delete the default address? If the buyer deletes their current default shipping address, BulklyCart automatically promotes another address to be the new default. The system selects the next available address so there's always a default ready for checkout. This prevents a situation where the buyer goes to place an order and has no pre-selected shipping address.

Address Usage During Checkout

When a buyer proceeds to checkout from the Quick Order page, their default shipping address is automatically selected as the delivery destination. The buyer can switch to a different saved address from the checkout if needed.

Having a well-maintained address book makes the checkout process faster and reduces errors — buyers don't need to re-type addresses each time they order, and the validated address formats ensure smooth shipping carrier integration.
